Waiting time is not wasted time
God is faithful and much more able to keep and fulfill His promises to all who believe and wait upon Him. He is a God of covenant and will never relent or go back on His words. However, the most difficult period in life is when you are waiting on God’s promises and all seems very quiet and nothing seems to be happening. In this period, you are bound to be mocked, gossiped about, slandered, abandoned, rejected and all forms of insults will be directed at you.
You will be misread and misunderstood by the very people who are so close to you, but our word for you is
“DO NOT QUIT!”
KEEP WAITING, KEEP BELIEVING,KEEP TRUSTING and KEEP PERSEVERING”
For faithful is He who has called you, who also will bring to pass all that He has purposed for you. This you must know, WAITING IS NOT WASTING TIME AND WAITING IS REWARDING, but no one wants to go through the fire or pass through the school of waiting. You must remember that NO FIRE, NO GLORY. It has been said that before you can become somebody, ”you have to swallow something”!!!
Abraham and Joseph waited and were fulfilled in their calling, dreams and visions. When there is silence concerning your visions or dreams, God is working on you and your calling; the moment of darkness has its brightness. The word of God in Isaiah 45:3 says “I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places”. Furthermore the scripture says: “But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31.
WAITING IS NOT WASTING TIME. “Be encouraged friends”, you must understand very clearly that character is processed, developed and produced to full maturity in the school of adversity. Faith and Hope in the Lord are your tools to connect to the realm of impossibility, which delivers God’s miraculous power in the natural realm. This brings your visions and dreams into reality; it also brings obedience to God’s command. It is vital to enjoy His presence while going through the journey of life in order to achieve your dreams. The Word of God is real, powerful and strong, able to accomplish God’s plans and purposes for your life. Once He has spoken, His word can never return to Him void, it has to accomplish the purpose for which it has been sent, (Isaiah 55:11). Stop fighting the Word of God through doubt and unbelief, but rather wait on Him and believe His word. While waiting, watch and pray, sing psalms to Him, hold tenaciously to His word and see the impossible become possible in your life (Mark 10:27). If you do not faint, you will sing a new song, you will celebrate and be celebrated. Once again, waiting is not time wasting, it is rewarding.
